Cuando hace 10 años iniciamos el TIPICO, queríamos que fuese la mejor reunión posible de infecciosas y vacunas, buscando no solo los temas más interesantes y actuales, sino también a los expertos más preparados. No me corresponde a mí juzgar si lo hemos conseguido, pero seguimos intentándolo 10 años después, y desde luego, la asistencia fiel de 500 asistentes cada año, nos anima – casi obliga – a seguir haciéndolo. Tras 10 años, han pasado por el TIPICO más de 50 ponentes (qué ponentes, me pongo nervioso pensando la gente que tenemos cada año en el TIPICO) y más 400 asistentes (los más exigentes),  siempre en Santiago de Compostela, una ciudad que en su día me atrapó y que aspiramos a que os atrape a vosotros con su capacidad de encantar y acoger a todo el mundo. Gracias a todos los que habéis llevado el TIPICO hasta la dimensión X. Seguimos.

When we started TIPICO ten years ago, we wanted to make it the best possible meeting on infectious diseases and vaccines, seeking out not just the most current and interesting topics, but also the best experts. It is not up to me to judge whether we have achieved it but, after a decade, we keep trying our best – and the loyal 500-strong attendance every year compels us to keep trying. After ten years, we have welcomed 50+ speakers (and what speakers! I’m nervious every year about the calibre of the speakers who join us), and 4000+ delelegates (the most demanding), always in Santiago de Compostela, a town that enchanted me a long time ago, and which we hope will captivate you too with its extraordinary charm and warmth. Thank you for bringing TIPICO to the X dimension. Onwards and upwards.
